Camp: Day 3
We had a full day of activities from shooting guns, to rock wall climbing, to frisbee and volleyball, as well as crafts and of course bump!
There is a wall where anyone can slip a note of encouragement for you. Every leader has one with their name on it and I got a couple today that were very kind!
We have been eating moose the last couple of days and to be honest it has tasted like beef.
The cooks have been tireless and have been laboring non stop that we be fed well. They are really incredible. But due to the large numbers of campers we don't have unlimited resources to Roger is going to make a run to Fairbanks and pick up more meat. Pray for his safety.
I was really impressed with Jamie tonight during dinner as I overheard as I was passing by her explaining an idea from a message to her camper!
This morning started off with a morning prayer time with the leaders including Roger who is the main leader of Kokrine Hills here. He is a native who loves and is incredibly passionate about the truth.
We then met as GBC members and shared and prayed with one another about how to be serve our cabins.
1. Pray for our leaders as they feel inadequate for the tasks they have before them and we aren't wrong :)
2. Pray for health as it's getting worse with bugs and this is a pretty physical camp and so we really can't afford to have anyone severely injured due to the remoteness of the location.
3. Pray for Victoria and Kaitlyn's cabin as their girls have been particularly disrespectful.
4. Pray for Miles and Nathaniel as they too have a rough group of older aged boys in their cabin.
God is able and big enough to accomplish more than we want or could expect.
