Camp: Day 4

Today was yet another eventful day. Lots of laughs and volleyball! We have stations of activities with our Alaskan campers and it's been wonderful getting to know them! Pray for us as some have been expressing lots of agony over deaths in the family and drug abusive backgrounds. Pray as there have been testimonies of rape and abortion from young campers and we are in above over our heads.

Many tears have been shed by our students with feelings of inadequacy.

Their feels are accurate.

We are all so incredibly in adequate for this task.

As was Paul as 2 Corinthians 2:16 states

If Paul wasn't up to the task neither are we.

This is the message we started off this morning in our staff devotional. We also meditated on the truth found in James 1 fighting for the belief in that we need to consider it all joy when we encounter various trials.

We are in trial. We must fight for joy.

Everyone is safe and praying more and fighting for joy more in the Lord. Today after breakfast and coffee and activities we spent most of the day at a sand bar. That faced the beautiful Kokrine Hills of which this camp gets it's name. The weather has been breath taking. We took a boat ride about a mile away to a large sandy area and Eva put mud in my mouth twice. She claims it was, "someone else" but I know an Eva when I see one.

It's going to rain tomorrow so pray for safety and that the campers wouldn't get restless if we stay inside.

Pray for a boy named Dathan who hasn't been here since 2013. He seems to be more attentive during lessons and reading his bible during our time despite his friends not caring.

Warning: A litany of sand bar and fun pictures tomorrow
