Camp: Day 5,6 & 7
What a wonderful day we had yesterday! Here are some pictures from the day previous!
We spent most of the day a couple of days ago at the sand bar! We slammed mud on one another and played volleyball! We took some boats on the Yukon for about a 10 minute ride! JP and John Constable drove the boats! It was beautiful weaving in and out of the Kokrine Hills together! The weather was beautiful.
The last couple of days have been hard for our counselors - there has been a lot of difficult conversations and hard hearts here. But We have been preaching to ourselves that God is faithful and His word doesn't return void.
John Cassidy has preached a couple times and lead a devotional for the staff.
The cabin reports the last couple have days have been consistently discouraging because of the lack of good spiritual conversations.
Last night however, that changed.
7 girls in Katy and Jamie's cabin made professions of faith in Jesus Christ.
One girl after praying with Kaitlyn Buszinski said, "I don't want to sin anymore!"
If this is genuine sign of repentance from the Holy Spirit we are so grateful.
But even if it isn't we are praising God for the opportunities to freely and openly speak the gospel of Christ into the lives of these young people.
Pray for a cabin of boys from some villages in the area.
Roger Huntington, the leader of Kokrine Hills, shared his testimony last night and it was filled with agony, and anger, betrayal and abuse. It was powerful to see the hand of God work in a sinners heart.
Today we're having a Q&A - please pray for us that we show the kids love and the answers God has in the scriptures.
